Quiet week

We have had a really quiet week. The boys each had their open house at school to acquaint themselves with teachers and everything. Andrew, I think, is getting excited about starting middle school, I'm getting nervous. Joey says he doesn't like school, I wish I could change his outlook. Both boys are so smart, school really comes fairly easy to them yet. I have talked to them about if they go to school with a good attitude, then the day will be good. I think Andrew has finally learned this, he seems to have a good attitude about going. Joey just keeps saying he "hates school" and just about is surly about having to go. He does enjoy science and art, but absolutely hates having to write. Any ideas on how to improve his attitude or ease of writing?

I have been trying to get out with the kids every day this week. We went to see the movie "Fly me to the Moon 3D" on Thurs afternoon, it was a very cute movie. We also have bee going for daily walks, rather I walk and the kids ride their bikes. A couple of nights we went to my parents farm and back, a couple of time to parks. We discovered the walking path around Coon Creek in Coon Valley. It is beautiful and very peaceful. This park has been flooded, badly, with each of the last floods,
starting last August.

This is one of the trees that got floated downstream with the last flood.

Just to show you the size of the trees moved in the flood.

I just love how the water reflected the sunshine.

There was a weeping willow tree at the park, I have always loved these trees. I had fun playing with the kids and my camera, trying to catch some good pictures. Let me know what you think.

Andrew was being a ham.

We have nothing planned for the remainder of the weekend, hopefully something will come up to help us relax for the last days off before school starts. Hope everyone has a great weekend.
