Quick update

Wow, I cannot believe it has been so long since my last update! Sorry folks. Life has been busy, as always, making it hard to get time on here sometimes. Andrew has been spending as much time as we'll allow at the ski hill. He has been skiing at least once a week and would love to be there more. Joey has been having fun making different wook projects at Cub Scouts. The Pinewook derby is coming up, Joey is hoping to win a medal again this year for the racer he will make next week. Becca had fun with a couple of friends at our house for her birthday. It was fun having four little girls running around the house instead of little boys. The tooth fairy has also been busy, two teeth in one week, and all from one person! Which family member made that contribution? It was Becca! She finally has lost her first tooth/teeth! I'll try to post of picture of her new smile soon. Rich and I have been busy with work, as always. Between meetings and training, I feel like I have been there constantly.
In other family news, my mom had major surgery on Feb 12. It ended up being a much longer surgery than expected and she spent that night in ICU. She was transferred to the main surgical floor the next afternoon and went home on Wed. the 17th. We discovered why she hasn't been feeling well for quite some time. A normal gallbladder is supposed to 3-4 inches long, hers was well over 10 inches! Plus it was full of stones, the largest of which measured 1 1/2 inches long by almost and inch wide! The Dr also removed 18 inches of bowel, which was quite thickened and narrowed by diverticulitis. I think once she is recovered from all of this, she is going to feel like a new woman. I am just happy that the surgery is past and she is doing so well already.
