West Coast, day 1

Once we got settled in our hotel, we looked into renting a car to go exploring. What did we end up with?




Yep, you guessed it. We rented a brand new Ford Mustang convertible. Talk about a true California experience! We were barely on the west coast 3 hours and we were cruising up the coast, next to the Pacific Ocean, with the top down and letting the ocean breezes move us. I was in LOVE!!!





The first place we decided to explore was a community called La Jolla (pronounced la hoya). What a gorgeous area! The ocean waves were pounding the coastline, what an impressive sound. We were there at about a midtide level, so we could walk on the beach a bit, but not a lot was exposed. We did discover there is a community of sea lions there, what fun to see!
