What a nice Sunday we had around here. It was busy running kids around but also quiet and nothing urgent to attend to. The boys had Sunday school/CCD this morning and then Andrew had to serve the next mass. We then went exploring down to Riverside park, just to walk along the river and see what it looked like in the winter. Last time we were there, it was evening and the Christmas light exhibition was on. It looked very different in the daytime. The park was quiet and peaceful, a little cool, but not too bad to be out in.
Then we discovered that there was a large flock of ducks on the river, resting in the open water areas and on the ice. It was amazing how close we were able to get.
Notice our shadows along the bottom, that is how cose we were.
This duck was taking a break and Joe was able to get amazingly close.
With my zoom lens I was able to get some great close-ups of the ducks.
Then Andrew had a chance to go skiing, of course he jumped at that.
It was a beautiful, warm day, perfect for skiing.
Here he comes around the corner.
He does a pretty good job anymore, doesn't he?
I'll try to update more this week, life has just been normally quiet, nothing exciting happening, for now.
