Door County, again

This past weekend, I was able to return to Door County, with my friends. We were so lucky to have another perfect weekend. We stayed at the same cabin, since we fell in love with the location last time. Again, we seemed to have the beach to ourselves, I think we only saw 2 other people on the beach the whole weekend.


We spent time again at our favorite park, Cave Point County Park. I am always amazed at how blue/green the water is, like a tropical lagoon.




We also tried a couple of new experiences. What were they? Well, you will never believe it, but I went parasailing! That's right, this girl agreed to let her body swing 175 ft above the water. I know, crazy! I have to admit, it was quite breath-taking to be alone, that high above the water, but I was definately scared. I get nervous at the top of the ferris wheel, so I am quite proud of myself that I agreed to and actually carried out parasailing.
Stacy went first, out of our group. She was very nervous before but loved it and would jump at the chance to do it again.


Next is was my turn. Here I am, just taking off from the boat deck.

Yes, that little speck up there attached to the parachute is me.

I am very happy I went, but am not in a hurry to do it again.

Then there is LaVonne, this crazy girl decided she wanted to go the max, 500 ft out from the boat! That tiny speck up there is my friend, isn't she nutty?

Our other new experience this trip was taking a sailboat charter cruise at sunset over Sturgeon Bay. This boatride I would do again in a heartbeat and highly recommend it to anyone going to Door County. The sailboat was called Talisman and Captain John was wonderful. It was so peaceful out there, a very different boating experience compared to boating around here. Once in the Bay, we cut the engine and relied strickly on wind power to motivate around. I even got to steer the boat for awhile, not too tricky to do.










The view of the sunset from on the Bay was so beautiful, I can't even put it into words. I am just going to share the pictures and let them speak for themselves.
