Happy New Year, to all! Hope everyone had a fun, safe holiday season. Now comes the "fun" part, putting it all away, trying to find homes for all the new things, and getting back to a normal routine. During the winter break, we managed to sneak in a couple of fun activities. One day, I picked up my nephews and we all went to play at the Children's Museum. The kids had a lot of fun and burned off some cabin fever energy.
Andrew and Becca had to try the rock climbing wall.
Jake and Joe spent a bunch of time with the river exhibit, of course getting wet in the process.
I love this picture of the whole gang, they actually all cooperated with me, for once, and smiled.
This past Sunday, Rich and I decided, spur of the moment, to take the kids up to the Mall of America overnight. We explored the Mall, walked around Ikea (a new favorite store of mine), and spent a lot of time swimming and playing together. On Monday we went into downtown Minneapolis to Gameworks, which is a 2 story arcade. Of course, all 4 kids loved that. we were home by 7pm that night, the kids had to get ready for school the next day and I had to work that night. It was just a nice, relaxing getaway, something we really needed.
Today we are in the middle of another Midwest snowstorm, gotta love it. I took a couple of pictures, after I got the kids onto the bus. Hope you enjoy them.
