Well, we survived a couple of weeks of busy evenings, having concerts for all three kids the last couple of weeks. It seemed like every night we had something going on. All the kids did great, putting on good shows. Becca enjoyed her very first concert, even though she sort of had that "deer in the headlights" look about her. What do you think?
My usually cheerfull, smiley little girl hardly cracked a smile, and she did admit afterward that seeing all those people in the audience scared her.
Joey did well at his concert, his was a themed musical, something the kids put together almost all on their own. It was a take-off on LOST, the TV show. He is my quiet one in public, usually choosing to stay in the background and not be noticed. He did the same for his concert, taking a spot in the back of the group, hardly dancing. The way he shakes his body at home, dancing, I thought he would maybe dance a bit, but no go.
One last picture to share, Becca wanted to pose with Grandma's pretty flowers after her concert, of course I had to comply. Her dress just blended right in with the tulips.
We are on the downward swing for school now, less than 30 days left. Joey has 3-4 fieldtrips coming up, Becca has a couple also. It seems the kids have more fun planned than learning for the remainder of the year. I can't believe it is almost time for break already, where did the school year go? The weather has been so nice, we have been getting out to enjoy it quite often. Rich has taken the kids fishing several times, usually coming back with supper.
Hope everyone enjoys the nice weather!
