The only excitement we have had lately is Becca woke up Tues morning with a croup spell and fairly high fever. We spent some time in the bathroom, all steamed up and fixed the croup, medicated the fever, and then she showed me that she had an "owie" on her finger. Turns out a cut from last week had become infected, the lower half of her finger was swollen and red. Although she tried to have a "miraculous" recovery once she heard we were headed to the Dr's office...."look, Mommy, I can bend my finger" (as she holds the finger down so it bends). She was obviously protecting it, without even realizing it, and guarding it from being bumped. At the clinic, she let the Dr and nurse know what she thought of them, quite loudly. They decided they had to try to aspirate the finger and make sure there wasn't anything that needed to be drained out of it. After two needle pokes and three soaks, we were sent home with antibiotics. Today already she is feeling better, no more fevers, no more croup, and her finger is barely red tonight. We are on the mend.
Today we went to the Children's Museum with Stacy and her little sweetheart, Ayla. The girls had a blast, running and playing together, burning lots of energy off. Here are a few of my favorite pictures from today, enjoy.
"I am a grumpus" or so she says
Other than that, we have just been having a normal week, our normal routine. Swim lessons on Sat mornings, Joey and Andrew both had time with friends this past weekend, and the normal school work and projects. Like I said, our normal routine. But for me, I like the normalcy, the routine. I know, its boring, but it is much easier to plan for and prepare for.
