Yep, you read correctly, the title will actually fit this blog post, wait and see.
I took the kids to one of the area parks tonight. Again the weather was really nice...warm, clear skies, but quite windy. While the kids played on the play equipment and in the ball field, I enjoyed the sights around me. I was sitting on one of the benches and there was this robin perched behind me, just going to town, squawking and scolding at me.
I didn't know why the bird was hanging around, continually chirping at me and not flying away. A few minutes later, we discovered why...
The robins had their nest just behind home plate, in the lighting equipment. No wonder the mama was upset with me and tried to get me to leave the area. When I got a little closer to take my picture, the mama actually dive-bombed me! Needless to say, we left the area and let the robins have their way.
Over by the play equipment, there is a long hedge of lilac bushes, boy, they smelled great tonight! Of course I couldn't resist taking pictures of the flowers.
There also was another tree, I think a crabapple tree, which also was full of beautiful flowers.
Now, you are probably wondering about the last part of my title, here's the story...I was trying to take the pictures of the lilacs, and I kept seeing this huge bumblebee flitting around the flowers. The problem was that every time I tried to take a close-up picture, either the bee would fly in the opposite direction or the wind would blow and make everything move all over the place. So, this is the best picture I could get of the bee, his backside.
Do you see him in there? Here is a closer view, all you can see is the bee's black backside.
Maybe next time a different bee will cooperate better. Until then...

I really like the new colors on your blog. When I first read the title I thought there had perhaps been contact between the bumblebee butt and skin...resulting in an "owie." Happily I found that was not the case:)
