Down on the farm

Yesterday I took the kids down to my parents' farm, to see all the animals. We checked on the goats, to see how much the baby goat has grown. Remember the last time I shared a picture of the baby, how small it was?

Well the baby has grown a lot since then, here he is now.

Becca also enjoys the friendly goat, named Daisy. The goat loves to be pet and will follow a person around, looking for attention.

Then, after Andrew had a little scare, thinking a beef bull was going to attack him, the kids decided to try to make friends with the "beefers". They all were very patient, holding out their hands with hay, and eventually a couple of the animals did come up and eat out of their hands.

My dad just got a couple of little piggies to add to the "Old McDonald's Farm" effect he usually has there. Then, being funny (and a little politically incorrect) he has named them Obama and Hillary. Guess which is which? Ha, ha, ha.

Finally, I love this picture. While the other two ran off to check out the new baby chicks in Grandpa's barn, Joey sat very patiently, more patient than I have ever seen him before, and waited for the beef to come to him. This picture was taken just before this beef actually laid down by the hay bale, that is how calm the beef was with Joey that close to him. Great job, Joey!
