Sleepy zoo and lots of water

This past weekend we took the kids to Minneapolis/St Paul, along with Susie, Mike and their boys. We left Sat afternoon, and after arriving, Rich left right away with Andrew to go see the Brewers/Twins baseball game. This was Andrew's first professional baseball game, he is hooked! I took the other kids and went out for supper with the others. Then we came back to the hotel and just swam and hung out for the evening. On Sunday, we went to a little zoo, called Como Zoo. This is a great zoo, just the right size for the kids to enjoy and not get too tired out. I think the animals were tired though, many were lounging and sleeping.

There was a a baby orangutan in the one enclosure, with its mommy and two other orangs. I just fell in love with the baby, so precious interacting and exploring its home.

This big guy seemed to be the guardian, he sat atop this high post, watching all that was going on.

This was definately the leader of the troop, he was the biggest, hairiest guy of the group, and of course he had to put on a show for us.

The kids also spent a lot of time swimming in the hotel pool. What a bunch of fish we had along.

The kids all had fun jumping into the pool. Andrew did his cannonballs.

Becca tried cannonballs also, needs a little more practice.

Andrew and Mike had a contest, who could jump higher and make a bigger splash.

Even Mason got into the jumping-in action, with a little extra catching help.

Just leaving you with a picture of my baby, posing once again.

Oh, if you wondering about why Joey and Rich aren't in any pictures....Joey wasn't feeling the best so he sat out quite a bit, and Rich was busy while I was taking pictures (ordering pizzas, packing, etc).

Looks like everyone had lots of fun. I've always wanted to take the kids to Como zoo.

How fun! I love Como Zoo! And Brent and I had talked about driving over for the Twins/Brewers game since they don't play each other too often, but decided we just couldn't make it work. It looks like you had a great weekend!

I just sent an email to a yahoo account I had for you. If that one is no longer valid or you don't get it, let me know and I'll figure something else out.

Have a great day!
