Busy September

Wow, I cannot believe it has been almost a month since school started! As always, life is hectic. The kids all started CCD at our local church, much closer than the parish we belong to in town, but that means they have class every Wednesday night. Of course they can't all go at the same time, oh, no, that would be too easy. Joey and Becca have class at 5:45 until 7pm and Andrew starts at 7 and goes until 8:30. Thanks goodness it is close, only 5 miles away, so it isn't too big of an issue to run back and forth several times.
Andrew is playing football again and loving every minute of it. His team lost their first game, but I hope they can win the next few. It always amazes me how a kid who will complain about having to do a few chores will take all the conditioning and hard work he is told to do for football practice. He also is in jazz band again, which is just starting up for the year. That means some days he will have to be into town by 7am and not get home until after 5pm! Makes for a long, tiring day for my teenager.
Joey and Becca are both doing well, keeping me busy just being their normal selves. Joe is in boy scouts, will have his first camp out of the school year next weekend. Becca is hoping to still be in girl scouts, but we're not sure if it will work with the new CCD schedule. Her big news is that she just got her ears pierced this past weekend!! I have one very excited little girl! She has been a champ with taking care of the ears so far, being very careful to only touch with clean hands and washing them several times a day.
I can't wait for October! I have two trips planned, a rarity for me. Early in the month I am going to Door County with my two great travel friends. We are staying in our favorite cabin, on Lake Michigan. Of course I'll have a ton of pictures again to share with everyone. Then towards the end of the month, I am going to a conferance for work, in San Diego!! I have never been to California before, so am REALLY excited to travel here, even only for a short stay. We will be there for only 3 1/2 days, not too long, but hopefully long enough to get to explore the area a little bit.
I promise to try to update more often, and with more pictures.
