My dream came true...

Yep, I got to go back to Door County a few weekends ago, with two great friends. One of them, Kari, had never been to Door County before, so it was lots of fun to share our favorite spots with her. We stayed in a different place, located on the bay side of the peninsula, which had a terrific waterfront view. I know you will all be surprised, but I actually didn't take near as many pictures as I have in the past. I know, what was wrong with me? Let me share some of my favorites that I did manage to snap.

We visited again the Wequiok Falls, a beautiful little park. Kari was being adventurous and exploring past the recommended areas, and yes, we did watch for falling rocks.

Next Stacy and I took Kari to the Coast Guard Lighthouse in Sturgeon Bay. I have never seen Lake Michigan so calm as it was that day. The water was crystal clear, we saw a bunch of big fish swimming around, it was gorgeous!

Then of course we had to go visit Cave Point, my absolute favorite spot. Again, with the Lake so calm, it was very peaceful and beautiful. For a short while, we actually had the whole county park to ourselves.

My traveling companions

The next morning, our first stop was a winery, yep, we were tasting wine at 930 in the morning...yum!

This is what I was hoping to see, only more of them. The apple and cherry trees were all way behind their normal schedule, mother nature was late to get going this summer.

We did see lots of beautiful tulips and daffodils, wonderful colors and amazing sizes.

I'll share more pictures in another blog to soon follow, stay tuned!
