Black eye, black tie

Tonight, Joey came home from school with a huge lump along his brow, so big it was touching the frame of his glasses! Turns out he bumped heads during gym class, at 9:45 in the morning, and the teachers never noticed the lump. He said it didn't really hurt, except when he blinked or touched it. I got ice on it right away and by bedtime it was less swollen, but definately turning more bruised. Joey receives his First Sacrament of the Eucharist this Sunday and has to be dressed up. So, like my title states, he will have a black eye to match his black tie. I'll try to post pictures coming up.
Andrew survived his weekend campout, no polar plunge allowed this time. I think he had a really good time, learning lots of new skills. When he saw Joey's eye tonight, he said, "Mom, even I knew that he needed ice on it to take the swelling down. I learned that this weekend".
Rebecca is supposed to visit her future preschool on Fri morning, before daycare (her 3 yr old school, as she calls it) and she wants nothing to do with it. I have told her that I would stay with her the whole time, that we were just going to visit. She told me that I could take her to school first and then go visit without her. Not quite what the visit is for, Becca.
