Sorry for the lack of updates lately, nothing to exciting happening here. Andrew had his first baseball game last Tues, they whooped the team 19-0. Go A&W Team! They were supposed to play on Thur and got rained out, imagine that, and then tonight they played against Bangor and actually had to forfeit the game. They still played ball, but technically they didn't have enough players to have the game count. I think Andrew had a hole in his glove tonight, he couldn't catch anything. The game tonight was in Bangor, at their beautiful village park. The park has a Veteran's Memorial, complete with an old tank and a military chopper. Of course Andrew and Joe had to go see and check them out after the game.
Andrew is telling Joe what each part is and how it is used.
"Ten hut!"
Another view of the chopper
Last week was a crazy work week for both Rich and I. Rich worked 20 some hours of overtime and I worked 4 shifts, so that resulted in total lack of sleep on my part. It felt really good to have a day off on Sat and get a little caught up on sleep. We had a nice supper on Father's Day with Rich and got some outdoor chores completed finally. I really wanted to go to the Parade of Homes on Sun with my great friend,Pam. We have gone together for the past 10 years. Neither of us could fit it in though this weekend. I think I am going through withdrawal, this is my first year missing it. If only I could videotape a home tour in each of the 20 houses, then it would be perfect. Monday was Rich's birthday, too bad he was out of town and we couldn't do much with him. He got back to town tonight, just in time for me to sleep before work.
We are now in the midst of mad packing for our family trip. We are leaving Wed, about noon, for South Dakota. We are all looking forward to getting away for a week of relaxation and exploring a new area. We plan on camping some, a new experience with Becca along. I think we will have fun and the kids will have a blast. There is so much to see and do out there. We are taking the bikes along to maybe explore some trails. Thank you Pam and family for taking temporary ownership of our gerbils, I hope your family enjoys watching them. I also hope your cat doesn't go nuts trying to get them like Obi does. Thank you also to my Dad, for feeding and watering our dogs and cat. We are blessed to have such great people available to help us out.
Hope everyone has a nice week. See you when we get back, I'll try to update with some nice vacation photos.
