Where to start...Andrew had his first real scrimmage last Sun, and got his first hit! Go Andrew! It was a nice base hit, next up got him to second base and then the next hitter was struck out for the third out. A big thundercloud passed over and downpoured on us. We all got wet, they actually stopped the game for about 10 minutes. Of course, Joe and Becca loved the rain and were soaked. Another night we took the bikes down to a side road by our town hall and the kids rode through a big puddle. They all were soaked and really muddy. I actually made them wrap up in towels (I came prepared) and ride home pretty much naked. They were all mud from head to toe and all the way to their underpants. The shower was the first stop for them all. The big news... Becca learned to ride her two-wheeler without training wheels or mommy-assist! Way to go, girl!
Andrew has been letting his hair grow (which has been driving me crazy) and kept saying he wanted to have a mohawk the last days of school. So Tues. night I buzzed him and Wed morning we spiked it up. Here is the result.
When he came home, I thought he would be all excited about the kids reactions, he was actually quite upset about them. He said that everyone just stared at him and his teacher actually scolded him for it. I'm sure they were all just surprised to see Mr Clean-cut with such a haircut. Within an hour of being home, it was washed and buzzed all the way down. Thank goodness, I like it much better.
On Wed. Chastity, her daughter, and myself and Becca went to see our co-worker and friend's new baby. Kari is doing great, looks wonderful, and her girls are just too cute. It was so nice to visit for awhile and this was the first time we had gotten our girls together. My Becca is so often surrounded by only boys that to have all girly toys to play with was quite a novelty. Here are some pictures to share.
Chastity and her 6mo old, Alexis.
Kari, her 2 yr old, Rebecca, and 3week old, Kayla.
Adorable little Kayla
The girls, "little" Becca, Alexis, and "big" Becca
Thanks Kari for letting us come visit and for letting me have some baby snuggle time. We haven't had any babies at work lately for me to snuggle, so it was nice to have that craving filled.
I think that covers my week, Rich comes home sometime late Fri night or Sat morning from his week-long fishing trip in Canada. We are ready for him to be home again. I know Andrew and Becca especially have both been saying "when is Daddy coming home?" The boys have their last day of school today (Fri) and are excited to have the summer off. We are planning a family road trip to South Dakota in a couple of weeks, I for one am very excited to get away. We are planning on camping for the most part, we'll see how that goes. Becca has never been camping before and I haven't been for years. It should make for lots of fun and good memories.

Oooo, I'm so glad you posted these pictures! Fun to see all the girls! I bet you had a fun time being all together, and it's great to see Kari looking so well just three weeks after delivery!
The pictures are so cute. Looks like you had a great time visiting Kari. I love the mohawk.
