Finally....

For the past several months, since last fall in fact, I have been seeing this beautiful bald eagle, flying through our valley. I have tried to catch him with my camera many times, with no luck. Yesterday, as I was leaving to take the kids to swim lessons, I happened to look over my left shoulder and what do I see? A bald eagle sitting in a tree, just off in the distance a bit. I was soooo excited, I grabbed my camera and snapped away. I know the pictures a bit blurry, I had to max out my zoom again, plus the eagle was sitting on the other side of trees, so you have to look through trees to see him. I know they aren't the best pictures, but it is a start.

Then we headed out to lessons. As we drove down the road, I looked back at where the eagle was sitting to see him from that view and was surprised to see TWO eagles sitting in the tree, over the creek, watching for trout to swim by.

I really would love it if they were a pair and had a nest in the area. I said that to Joey, and his comment? "Well there goes another 500 pictures, right Mom?" What a riot that kid is!

Andrew spent the weekend at a scout camp, he came home today totally exhausted and took an hour and half long nap. Becca and Joey had fun swimming, both went off the diving board at the end of lessons.
I like this sequence of Joey going off the board.

Becca went off the board for the first time with no teacher on the board with her, helping her off.

Have a great week!
