I can't believe it has been a week since I last updated, sorry folks! What has been going on around here? Let's see....
We got the go-cart fixed, which Andrew is absolutely thrilled about.
Becca has finally discovered that she can go off the diving board without a teacher "pushing her" off, just has a teacher catching her yet.
Today was an absolutely beautiful day, 90 degrees, sunny for most of the day, and slight breeze. Becca and I met Stacy at a local beach, for Becca to run and the adults to take pictures. My battery died after just a little bit, but I am pleased with my pictures.
Then tonight, the first true thunderstorm of the year rolled throught the area. Thanks to my new camera, I was able to accomplish something I have always wanted to do....catch a picture of the lightening! I am so psyched, I think my kids are also, they kept telling me to take more pictures. These are my favorites. I did catch more, but they weren't as bright. Let me know what you think, please.
This is a close up of one of the pictures below.
One final note, our local black bear has slowly been moving closer to our home. He has been following the creek bed that runs just below our house. As of tonight, the bear is about a mile and half away by road, as crow flies, he is just over the hill in the next valley. I don't know if I should be scared or excited. I think I am going to have much better pictures of Mr Bear coming in the near future. I will definately keep you posted. Till then.....

I would love to be out at your place once to watch a storm come in, I bet it would be neat to see! Awesome!
