California!!!

As most of you know, I was sent to San Diego this past week for a conference. What a terrific adventure! Rich was able to join me so we made this into a sort-of second honeymoon. It has been awhile since we had gotten away, without the kids, for any length of time. Our flight went from Minneapolis to Phoenix to San Diego. While I'm not a fan of flying, I couldn't help but enjoy the view from the plane.

This mountain was gorgeous, I loved being able to see the small amount of clounds forming around the mountain top.

I had heard that the San Diego airport was right in the middle of the city, with skyscrapers all around. Glad I was warned...

We were staying in a "boutique" hotel, named Se San Diego. It was in the downtown area, called the Gaslamp District. It was a very modern, contemporary hotel, something neither of us had ever experienced.

The 4th floor pool and deck area. This is where I had my luncheon each day of my conference.

There is a preview of at least the first few hours of our vacation, I will share more pictures soon.
