Gotta love the snow

Gotta love the snow? Who am I kidding! Not too many of us Midwesterners would agree with that sentiment right now. We not only keep getting hit with measurable snowfalls, but right now are in the midst of a deepfreeze. The low tonight is forecasted to be about -18F, with the windchill it will be about -35 to -45F. Is that cold enough for everone? It is so cold, the schools in the entire surrounding area have closed for tomorrow, because of the cold. Our school district NEVER closes, except in severe bad weather, so it must be bad out. It was so pretty out this morning, very deceiving, but was so tempting to me to try to capture on camera. Let me know what you think.



I get so much pleasure from these pictures, they just are peaceful and beautiful to me. If only it was a nice outside as the pictures suggest. What is a person to do when it is this nasty outside? How do I entertain my kids tomorrow, to keep them quiet while Rich sleeps after work, without endangering them outside?

I would love to do this...


but the kids would rather be doing this...



I will probably let them do a little outside and hopefully also some of the first option. I'll let you know what actually happens. I have to work in the afternoon, so then it will be Rich's struggle to entertain the kids and keep them from injurying themselves or each other.
