more from my crazy house

I did manage to find more to keep my busy household going today. Andrew and Joey went to church with Grandma today, thanks again Grandma. That left me with just the three younger ones for several hours. They played "hunting" for quite awhile, which involved running up and down the hallways, taking turns being the deer, and yelling at the top of their lungs... at least until I made another round of reminding them to be quiet, that Rich was sleeping. Thank goodness Rich put in industrial strength earplugs this morning, he slept through it all. Then I decided to try getting them to play a quieter game, DVD Disney Bingo.

After the big boys returned home, I accomplished the impossible...I got all five kids to nap, at the same time!! I managed to catch a little nap also, well deserved by that point. After naps, we got ready and headed into town to the Children's Museum, we had to burn some energy off the well-rested kids. The kids all had fun and even played together somewhat. Thanks, Stacy, for meeting us there and helping to keep and eye on the kids as they scattered on us.

I also wanted to share a couple of pictures from the birthday party for my other nephew, Steven, that we went to yesterday. The kids spent some time outside, sledding down the hills.
Becca liked being able to steer her way down the hill.

Andrew did an awesome job of helping Mason and riding down the hill with him.

Kade discovered a snowboard and had to try it out, once the big kids moved away. He worked at it for a long time, just getting his feet in the right place and trying to stand up. Can you see how proud he looks, he managed to move forward, while standing, for a few inches. Not far, but progress.

Becca and Mason also had fun just climbing up other snow piles.

O.k...a few of these pics totally cracked me up and I needed a laugh! The ones with Kade and Mason all spiffed up for the day and looking all handsone, while Becca sits next to them in her jammies and bed-head hair are just too darn cute! What's a girl to do, I guess! I also love she's wearing "the hat" in the sledding pics! I loved being able to tag along and come help out today. I had alot of fun!
