Nothing new

Where, oh where, have the pediatric patients gone? Oh where, oh where can they be? I think I can speak for all of my co-workers, we are sick of caring for only adults! I am actually excited for the upcoming winter, because it means we will have pediatric patients again. The hospital adult floors have been full so we have been getting overflow adults. We get the occassional kid, who is usually in and out really quick, then we have all these adults who come and hang out for days.

The rest of my life has been pretty quiet. The kids are hanging out, preparing for school, we have their school supplies all bought and prepared. I think I am finally done buying for them. Andrew and Joey have been busy helping in my brother's chicken barn. Andrew actually spent all day today working down there with my dad and my brother. They are cleaning out the chicken barn, they have new chickens coming in 2 weeks. The boys have worked hard the last week, trying to earn money to buy some new Lego sets. I am always surprised at what they can build with their Legos, they do a great job.

Tonight I went out for supper with my friends and co-workers, Lavonne and Stacy. Thanks girls for a nice night out, it was very relaxing. Too bad you both had to go to work then, sorry you didn't get a nap before going in tonight. We are planning a girls' weekend, can't wait. I love my family dearly but everyone needs a little time away occasionally.

Hope everyone is having a good week. Enjoy the last few days until school starts again.

I hear you on where have the kids gone. The adult thing is getting really old fast. I'm glad I have the hours in FBP to actually get my baby time in.
