What a week! I made it through the funeral of my uncle Jerry, barely. I have to say, I am so proud of my boys, they were with me for both the wake and the service and were so helpful and caring. Whenever they saw me crying or upset (Andrew could tell when I was even fighting the tears), they would hold my hands, rub my back, or just snuggle close. They definately helped me get through the difficult day. Thanks again Lavonne for switching nights at work, that was such a great help. I never would have made it through Tuesday if I had worked the night before. Then Wednesday morning I got the next phone call we were expecting, my Great-Aunt Eva passed away that morning. She was just over 100 years old and passed peacefully in her sleep. A person feels sad over the loss, but it is easier to accept when you know the person has lived a full and happy life. She lived in Janesville, WI, I don't know if I am going to make the drive for that funeral or not. It would be 3 hours there, with Becca, sit for the funeral, then 3 hours right back. I don't think Becca would tolerate that, without driving me insane.
Wednesday afternoon my friend and co-worker, Rochelle, came out with her family and we played back at the cabin with them. The kids had a blast playing on the slip-n-slide, splashing the the water in the catch pool, and playing in the sand box. They also had fun checking out the little stream that flow through the land back there.

All three little kids, what a fun time they had together
Tonight we had another big thunderstorm come blowing through the valley. And blow it did, I think I heard they clocked the blasts at 60 mph. We lost several trees again, tonight the one was a good sized birch tree, probably a foot in diameter. Here is some of the damage we discovered when we went exploring afterward.
The cover to this egress window was blown open and cracked everything.
The wind caught our playset and flipped it over. It was one of those with the ladder to the upper level and a slide coming down. There was an extended pole with three swings attached. The wind just knocked the whole thing over, I can't believe it.
I am off of work this weekend and Rich is taking the boys up north to a friend's cabin for the weekend and won't be back until Tues. It will be just Becca and I all weekend, what will we do? Maybe go shopping, go to a movie (I want to see Kungfu Panda), do our nails, hmm any other ideas?
Take care all.
