What were they thinking?

As I told you about last night, our road got flooded out again and is only passable in one spot by 4 wheeler. Today we had some fill hauled in, Rich will use his tractor to push it into place. The dump trucks dumped it close to the hole, but totally blocked our road?! What were they thinking? When it came time for me to take Andrew into his music lesson today, we couldn't even get the 4 wheeler through. Rich made it out later, by driving between the two piles, up the side of the one. Not for me. He then later used the tractor to move the one pile enough to let us through. Hopefully Friday he will be able to finish the work. My dad has had to come up the last two nights using the Kubota (think all terrain golf cart). It's sort of funny to have to get ready for work, grab my bag, head out the door, and drive the ATV down the driveway, through the muddy creek, and to the van parked out by the road. It hasn't paid to do much with my hair in prep for work, the humidity and rain on the ride to the van flattens whatever I spent the last 20 minutes fighting to do. I had been wondering how I was going to take 3 kids and a big tenor sax case down on the 4 wheeler today, being blocked in took care of that problem. Ah, the joys of country life. Now if it rains again and floods, our piles of fill will be washed down before we can even put them into place. What fun@! If I can figure out how to download pics from my phone, I will add pics of the lovely waterfall we get when the little creek floods over the road, just beautiful. Probably the only waterfall I don't get any enjoyment out of. Enough of my griping, thanks for listening and reading along this far. To my friends who are going through difficult times right now, my thoughts are with all of you, you know who I mean. Take care and know you can call me anytime, I have great shoulders to cry on and give good hugs of support if needed.

Thanks so much for your support. I also appreciate it very much. I have a very good image in my mind of you all 3 kids and a tenor sax on your ATV, it made me laugh. I hope your driveway gets fixed again soon and that the rain stops. You have your reunion this weekend right? Have fun.
