More exciting girl time

I had just the best weekend with my baby! As I have already told y'all, Sat was a fun shopping day. Sunday we hung at home for the morning, took a great nap together, and then went and had supper with my parents. Nothing to exciting, but it is always nice to sit, relax, and let somebody else cook. Then Monday, we met up with Rochelle and her family, another friend from work, Sue J. and eventually another co-worker, Tina, joined us with her daughters, and we went to Wazee County Park. It used to be an iron ore mine, they pumped out 800 gallons of water/minute when actively mining, and then when they were finished, they removed the pumps and let this lake form. It is just a beautiful lake, is 355 ft deep at the deepest point, has 30-40 ft visibility underwater, is a scuba diving training area, and has this incredible white sand beach and lagoon. The kids were able to wade and play in the water, dig in the sand, and just relax. It was so beautiful, unfortunately, my camera is up north with Rich and the boys. Hopefully Rochelle will share her pictures of the kids playing together. They all had sooo much fun!

This is a picture from the Black River Country website. This is part of the lagoon, the land on the bottom is just a small island out in the lagoon. The darkest water, in the middle of the channel is really deep, but the rest is up to chest high.

Of course I got sunburned, even with some sunscreen on, but Becca isn't, thankfully. I even managed to keep Becca awake on the way home, and then we were in bed by 730 tonight. I am working, but I definately needed that nap before coming in.

Tomorrow/today I will sleep for a bit, Becca has daycare, and then I need to get up and clean my house some. My husband will be shocked at the state it is in, with 3 less people in the house even. Joe has a dr appt in the afternoon and then Andrew has a ball game at Sparta at 530. Would be nice if his team would win this one. Nothing too exciting planned, just some time with all three of my kids again. Becca has said several times this weekend, "Boy, will Joey need some snuggle time with you, Mom, when they get home."
Take care y'all.
