Fall farm fun

Growing up, fall was always a time of extra field work, extra tractors and equipment around the farm. My kids have learned that it is fun to ride in the tractors and combine in the fall, that Grandpa usually has treats along, and it is a great view from up high in the tractor. Today it was Becca's turn to ride, something that she was too scared to do, up until today.

Grandpa's combine, pictured from a different day, but still always ready for a passanger.

Becca was so proud to sit with Grandpa, what a treat!

I also got the treat of having an afternoon out with my mom today. Every month or so, we try to get some time away, to run some errands, and to have supper together. She picked me up after she was finished with work and we were off. We went to one of the local orchard stores and had fun picking out apples to tryout. Then we went to Target and took our time shopping and seeing what is new out. I found a few things on clearance for Becca for next summer and a new undershirt for Andrew. Nothing to exciting, but it was still nice to get away with her. We decided to splurge and have supper together at Red Lobster, a definate treat for me! Yum, yum, one of my favorite restaurants. Thanks, Mom, I always have fun when we get together. And thanks to my terrific husband who was more than willing to stay home with the kids so I could get away.
