More Door County

You all are probably sick of my pictures of Door County, just have a few more to share. I was just so wowed by the beauty and peace of the place, I just can't help but want to enthusiastically share this feeling with everyone. So sorry, you just have to bear with me and my excitement. We went to a couple of parks, the first being Cave Point County Park. This park was absolutely amazing, Lake Michigan has been eroding into these cliffs, creating these caves. There were signs all around about watching your children, that the cliffs are dangerous. We walked a little closer and then the ground dropped out from us and the lake was right there. We were probably 20 ft above the water lever, looking out over this gloriously clear water. Stacy and LaVonne were brave and sat with their legs hanging over the edge, I was too chicken to try it.

The next park was Ellison Bluff County Park. We traveled down this gravel road that wound through the trees and eventually came to this wooden staircase that led down to a 30-40 ft drop, situated overlooking the quiet bay.

Then we decided to have some fun and took turns doing silly faces. First up, Kari and Stacy.

Next up, myself and LaVonne.

We were practicing our mean mommy/nurses looks.

On our way back out to the main road, traveling back out the long gravel road, we caught some sunbeams, working their way through the dense woods.

I'll leave you with a few more pictures of the glorious fall colors we saw. Enjoy.
