After Rich's family left Christmas eve, we all had some snuggle time and then it was off to bed. Joey laid out some Christmas candies and a glass of milk for Santa, and then an apple cut up and a glass of water for the reindeer. I think they enjoyed their snacks, it was almost all gone in the morning, see?
We all had orders from Joey to get to bed and go right to sleep, Santa wouldn't come if we weren't in bed. Joe and Andrew did go right to sleep. Becca was fighting bedtime, so I showed her online where Santa was at that moment. When she saw he was moving closer to our home, she hightailed it to bed and I didn't see her again. My boys were awake in the morning at 0445, can you believe it?! I got up, sort of, with them, and they were finally allowed to wake up Daddy and Becca at 0630. This is the pile of presents that awaited the kids.
I have to say, I was very impressed by my kids this year, they took turns very nicely opening presents, doing rounds and rotating who starts each round of opening.
Becca had fun checking out her stocking.
Joey was my ham, as always. He refused to smile nice for me, so this is what I get to share with the world. Sorry Joe, maybe next time you will smile.
He was concentrating very hard on opening and not looking at me.
Andrew and Joey were very excited by this present, though I don't know who has played it more, Andrew or Rich.
The look of total concentration.
Becca received a dress-up box as a present, she dug right into it.
Of course she had to model the outfits for me.
Once they were done opening presents, each went their own way in the house and explored their new presents for awhile.
In the afternoon, we went to my parents house for some more Christmas celebrating. Whew, what a day! The boys played outside some more with my brother's boys and then it was once again present-time!
Waiting patiently (not) for Chris to pass out all the presents.
Jacob liked his Hot Wheels tracks.
Thanks for the pose, Chris.
Steven was amazed at how little his new skidster was, I hope he doesn't lose it.
Becca got to sit by her Daddy to open her presents.
Many thanks to my parents for the wonderful afternoon and meal. As usual, my parents cooked a fantastic meal, way too much to eat, but delicious as always. We always have fun together and enjoy a relaxing time. Hope everyone out there in blogger land had a nice Christmas also.
