It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

It's official, winter is upon us.

The Christmas season is also upon us. Come on in for a visit to my home.

Just inside the front door, you can see the Christmas stockings of my kids. Someday I hope to have a fireplace to hang these by, until then, this wall hanging works wonderfully.

The next decoration you'll see is our Christmas tree.

I use the colors red and gold, along with some snowman ornaments and then, of course, the yearly ornaments I buy for each member of our family.

I also just love this snowman picture. I love stained glass, this is the closest I have.

I guess you could say I have developed a "thing" for snowmen. Each winter I take down the wildlife statues that normally adorn the space above my cabinets and fill that space with snowmen. Here are a couple of pictures of those spaces. (I'd change out the bears on the upper most shelf, but I can't reach it)

Finally, since I love the twinkle of Christmas lights at night, I thought I would share some pictures of our decorations all aglow. The quality of picture maybe isn't the best, but the lights definately show through.

Thanks for touring my Christmas home, hope you enjoyed it. I would love to see pictures of all of your decorations. Now if I can only get all the presents wrapped and start baking, I will really be accomplishing something. I love baking Christmas cookies and making candies for the holidays. We have some fun group baking dates planned, can't wait to share pictures of our activities. We also have more Christmas concerts to attend for all three kids, at which of course I will just HAVE to take a ton of pictures and also share those with all of you. Consider the blog world my captive audience. Hahaha.... the power I feel.

I LOVE your tree and all your decorations. They are so beautiful. We are putting ours up tonight, we'll see how it goes. I'm hoping to be able to have ornaments on the whole thing this year. Not just above little people's reach. I'll have to take pictures when it's done.
