Sickness in my family that is. The other night I was awoken at 230am by the hall light shining into my face, the shadow of my eldest son falling across me. Nothing like hearing "Mom, I don't feel good" to bring a person out of bed quick. To further increase the reaction, he proceeded to point to a certain lower right portion of his belly as being the point that hurt. Hmmmm, the nurse in me screams, loudly, "Oh no, not appendicitis!" Well, we hung out on the couch the remainder of the night, Andrew making many trips to the bathroom, got the rest of the family out the door for work/school, and finally made a trip to urgent care. One hour later we were back home, "viral gastrointestinal bug" the Dr told us. I turned around, went back to town and to work. Rich's turn to deal with sick kids. They all made it through the night, I came home to a quiet house, everyone asleep and noone in the bathroom. I went to bed at 1, was awakened at 3 by my husband making a trip to the bathroom, and again at 5 by my daughter coming in complaining of her tummy hurting. I had company in bed then until I got up at 545 to see if Andrew was going to make it to school today, he wanted to try. By 830 I was on my way into town to pick him up. We'll see how the remainder of the day goes, possibly 3 members of our family could be down with the bug, doesn't bode well for me, does it?
I have a question for all my friends/followers in blogger world....if you had to be sick, which would you rather deal with, intestinal sickness or respiratory sickness? Would you prefer to deal with the same for your family? I always seem to have preferred the respiratory stuff in my family, less to clean up. For myself, it is hard to say, both make a person feel miserable but at least intestinal usually is pretty short term. Those nasty respiratory bugs seem to last forever, don't they? I know this is probably not a normal topic for a blog post, but, hey, it's where my life is at right now. Let me know please.

Anything but puking! Except for diapers, then no puking or pooping :)
I'm so sorry your family is sick. I HATE gastro bugs, they suck a lot. Especially when you're sick too and so are the kids and the hubby. I hope you don't get it. Hope everyone is feeling better soon.
Is everyone feeling better now? Yuck! I'd much rather have the respiratory stuff then puking! I hate to throw up worse than anything. Although I'm sitting here right now with an ice pack on my back because I've had a constant back spasm today. Can't hardly walk and I actually told Mike this morning that I would rather by puking than have my back messed up! You know if I said that, it must be bad!
